Well, after several hours of work, I finally have the web page looking halfway decent. Hopefully not too many of you saw the embarrassing color clashing bridge scheme I had the other day.

Things are going pretty well in terms of planning to leave, although time sure is running short rather quickly. I recently found out that I definitely need to join a youth hostel organization, which requires a half hour drive to a tiny Ohio town. Still, it’ll be worth it when I can stay overnight for $13, including breakfast. For being such cheap places, these things sure are organized: You can now check availability and book online. Kind of like staying at the Ritz, but not.

I watched a two hour DVD today on Italy, and while the hostess / tour guide was extremely aggravating, it was wonderful to see some of the places I may be visiting. I took notes of town which looked especially nice, such as Mantoa and Modena in northern Italy. The Amolfi Coast, which is the southern western coast of Italy, looks absolutely stunning, and I definitely want to make a trip down there (towns nearby include Pompeii and Salerno). Also, I’ve never been so inclined to go hiking as I was today after seeing footage of the Dolomite Mountains, specifically of the Cinque Torre, or Five Towers, a rock formation located in the mountains. The hike itself doesn’t seem too tough (assuming I won’t have to climb a frozen waterfall like they did in the video), but I’m worried it might take too much time or money to get there. We’ll see though.

Tomorrow I’m going out to look for more Italian type clothes, and maybe pickup a few things I still need, like a small translation book and money belt. It’s Thursday, meaning I have only one full week left here in Ohio before I leave.
